Develop your English in London
English Adventurers is a two-week English-language programme designed to build confidence across speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students develop useful language through communicative lessons, projects and collaborative activities.
London provides an additional source of topics and experiences. Students prepare for activities in class, encounter new places and ideas around the city, then use what they have seen as material for discussion, writing and presentation.

What you'll study
English for communication and exploration
Students develop useful English through topics, tasks and projects suited to their level, with regular opportunities to communicate with others and apply new language.

Develop speaking and listening through discussion, roleplay, interviews and collaborative tasks, building confidence expressing ideas and responding to other people.

Reading, Writing & Language
Build vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing through accessible texts and practical tasks, learning to organise ideas and communicate for different purposes.

London as Your Classroom
Prepare for and respond to experiences across London through research, observation, discussion and project work, using the city as a source of new vocabulary and ideas.

Across the programme, students use experiences and observations from London as starting points for collaborative communication projects. They may research a place, report on an experience or investigate a question connected with the city.
At Time to Shine, students share their work with others, bringing together the English, ideas and confidence developed across the programme.

Live and learn at Dulwich College
SBC at Dulwich College sits on a grand, green campus in south London — a historic school setting with the whole of the capital close by. Students live and learn on the college grounds, then travel out with their groups to explore London as part of the programme. Back on campus, students stay in modern, well-kept boarding rooms — a shared room, or a single room with en-suite bathroom, chosen at booking. Common rooms, laundry and all meals are on site, with residential staff living alongside the students, so everything they need is in one place.

Students with English levels between A2 and C1 can enrol onto this programme.
All residential staff are DBS-checked and trained, with 24/7 pastoral care and British Council–accredited safeguarding procedures.
No. This is a Summer Boarding Courses programme. We use the facilities at Dulwich College so students can learn in an inspiring school setting, but the course is designed and delivered by Summer Boarding Courses. Summer Boarding Courses contracts the use of these facilities and has no formal connection with Dulwich College, and the school does not deliver, partner in, or endorse our programmes.
