Summer Boarding Courses at Eton College provides our students with the opportunity to study at one of the world’s most famous schools. Founded in 1440 by King Henry VI, Eton College has educated 20 British Prime Ministers as well as numerous authors, scientists, actors, Olympians and explorers. The historic and prestigious venue offers a truly inspiring learning environment for our students to study a variety of exciting courses. Close to London, Eton College provides the perfect location for a summer school experience.

The English Through Academic Subjects programme at SBC at Eton College is specifically designed for 12-to 16-year-old students and aims to improve their level of English. Students receive 20 hours of tuition per week in their chosen subject, culminating in a Time to Shine presentation. This gives students the opportunity to use their English and demonstrate their learning whilst developing their presentation skills. The Time to Shine presentations take place in Jafar Hall, Eton College’s purpose-built debating chamber – giving students a truly memorable experience. All students will be given access to a cutting-edge online learning platform, EtonX, and will be able to choose one of the self-study ‘Future Skills Programmes’. This is a series of short online courses focused on better communication, leadership, and university preparation which develop soft skills, practical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset to help students succeed in life. All students will also participate in our varied and comprehensive social programme. This offers students the opportunity to relax and enjoy the company of their new friends from around the world. The social programme includes a range of sport and artistic activities, as well as visits to nearby Windsor.
Students will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops focussed on the development of Leadership, Public Speaking, and Critical Thinking.
Over 2-weeks, students will go on three excursions to famous UK tourist cities or destinations. Our dedicated team of staff accompany the students and have a series of activities planned for the students to ensure that they make the most from their trip. Our excursion destinations this summer include England’s capital city London, and one of the most famous university cities in the world – Oxford.
The accommodation at Eton College comprises of two boarding houses – one for boys and one for girls. Students will have their own single study-bedroom, with shared bathroom facilities. Both boarding houses have comfortable social spaces and facilities in which students can relax during House Time.
The safety and wellbeing of all students is our number one priority. Summer Boarding Courses is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Students are accommodated on-site in secure and comfortable boarding houses during their stay with us. Our friendly and caring staff team is available 24 hours per day to support students, which includes dedicated and experienced welfare staff, such as House Parents and Welfare Managers. We have a comprehensive Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and procedures in place to which all employees, volunteers, and contractors are expected to adhere.

In order to submit your booking for Eton College, click on the ‘make a booking’ tab in the right-hand corner of our home page and fill out our ‘Make a Booking’ form.
Your dedicated Admissions Manager will then contact you via your preferred method of contact to confirm any outstanding details. This will be the perfect opportunity to ask any questions before a deposit is paid. Once your details are confirmed, you will be sent a booking confirmation email, which serves as formal confirmation of your child’s place.
Eton College traditionally retains a boys only boarding tradition, however at SBC at Eton we are proudly a co-education summer boarding school in which both girls and boys attend classes and the activities program together.
Your admissions manager sends a booking confirmation containing an invoice and the flywire payment link.
The fee includes all accommodation, meals*, lessons, academic materials, general sports, social activities and events, all standard excursions including admission costs, Wi-Fi, weekly laundry services, graduation certificate, academic progress report and travel insurance. Airport transfers from/to London Heathrow Airport on Start/End Dates start from £50.00 each way.
*We will endeavor to meet all dietary requirements, e.g. vegetarian, vegan, Halal etc.
Each academic course has a minimum duration of two weeks, however if you would like to enrol onto a second course you would be able to do so after the completion of the first course.

You have a right to cancel your booking within 14 days from the date of the Confirmation (the “Cancellation Period”) without giving any reason.
All cancellations must be made in writing and take effect from the date we receive such notice. Where a cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the Arrival Date, there will be a refund of all Course Fees paid, minus the Deposit.

EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can travel to the UK for holidays or short trips without needing a visa. This applies now, after Brexit.
For those that do require a Visa, the application that you will need to apply for is the Standard Visitor Visa.
It is important to note that, depending on the country, applications can take around 20 working days (or 3-4 weeks) to process. You are advised to begin the application process as early as possible. Once the Visa is obtained, we will need to receive a scanned copy of the student’s passport and the Visa by e-mail. SBC International reserve the right to cancel a booking, if a copy of the Visa has not been received 4 weeks before the course arrival date.

Yes, if you would like to make any amendments to your booking then you can do so by contacting your Admissions Manager.
At the end of the program all students receive a certificate of attendance from their Director of Studies at their graduation ceremony.
At Eton the minimum level of English language required is intermediate (B1+) or above.
Before the summer, we send an online test for students to complete. We will use the results to confirm their suitability for the course. In the case that a student does not meet the required level on the test, we will conduct an academic consultation to assess the next best step.
We have an extremely high ratio of staff to students throughout the summer. At each Campus, we have a Welfare Co-Ordinator, who oversees the welfare and safety of the students and would deal with any pastoral issues. We also have several House Parents/College Mentors, who are responsible for the day-to-day care of the students and are the first point of contact if any student felt as though they were upset in any way. Alongside these members of staff, all employees are trained before the summer in Child Safeguarding and many of the staff are trained in giving First Aid. There will also be a dedicated Admissions Manager for each Campus, who will be the main point of contact for families with any issues or concerns.
