SBC attracted me for two main reasons, the amazing reputation it has and the student focus to all of its courses. There are so many summer schools out there but SBC really stuck out as a front-runner for me due to both of these aspects. So far, I can say they really do live up to their reputation!

We take huge pride in building our staff teams, ensuring a culture of well-being and support that allows us to recruit staff that often return year after year. For all staff, we provide comprehensive induction training, ongoing support and CPD opportunities, and industry-leading pay rates.
Our staff returner rate is exceptional, 88% of our management team from last summer had worked for us previously. This positive environment, along with significant training, ensures that our Summer School Management and Head Office staff are best placed to support our Summer School Staff and create a positive and mutually beneficial working environment.

As a result, SBC became the first and only multicentre summer school provider to be awarded 15 out of 15 areas of strength in a full inspection, thereby confirming us as one of the foremost course providers in the UK.
All members of staff employed by SBC will be expected to bring certain key qualities to the role. There must, of course, be a demonstrable interest in working with young people, preferably in an international environment.
