Develop your English through business ideas
Future Entrepreneur is a two-week English-language programme introducing students to some of the foundations of entrepreneurship and business. Students explore how ideas become ventures, how businesses understand customers and how organisations communicate what they offer.
English is developed throughout through discussion, case studies, problem-solving, teamwork and presentation. Students practise explaining ideas, making decisions and communicating persuasively while exploring accessible business themes.

What you'll study
Explore how ideas become businesses
Students use English while exploring the language and ideas of entrepreneurship. Activities introduce accessible business concepts through discussion, collaboration and creative problem-solving.

Explore how entrepreneurs identify opportunities and respond to problems or needs. Students develop vocabulary for discussing ideas, evaluating possibilities and explaining what a new venture might offer.

Markets, Customers & Money
Consider why people choose particular products and services, how businesses understand audiences and how pricing, costs and resources can influence decisions.

Pitch & Present
Practise structuring and communicating an idea for an audience. Students develop persuasive language, teamwork and presentation skills as they prepare to share their thinking with others.
The signature experience
Develop and present your own business idea
Students work collaboratively to develop a simple business idea, considering the problem it addresses, who it is for and how it could be communicated.
At Time to Shine, teams present their idea to others, bringing together the business vocabulary, English communication and presentation skills they have practised across the programme.

Headington Oxford Summer School is a fast-paced summer built on learning by doing. Through project-based lessons, sports and creative activities, students build confidence, independence and skills like teamwork and problem-solving — with the historic city of Oxford all around them, part of the experience itself.
Everything is on one campus: an indoor swimming pool, sports hall, tennis courts, dance studio and theatre, plus five comfortable boarding houses with separate accommodation for boys and girls, mostly in single and twin rooms, and staff available for pastoral support.

No, the course is designed for students of all levels. You’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and guided through each activity step by step.
You’ll just need a notebook, pens and access to a laptop or tablet for research and presentations. All other materials will be provided.
Both. Some tasks will be individual, while others will require teamwork to simulate how businesses operate in real life.
You’ll strengthen your ability to plan, think strategically, communicate effectively and present ideas with confidence.
B1+ is required, though teachers can adapt to mixed-ability classes.
All residential staff are DBS-checked and trained, with 24/7 pastoral care and British Council–accredited safeguarding procedures.
No. This is a Summer Boarding Courses programme. We use the facilities at Headington School in Oxford so students can live and study in a prestigious school setting, but the course is designed and delivered by Summer Boarding Courses. Summer Boarding Courses contracts the use of these facilities and has no formal connection with Headington School, and the school does not deliver, partner in, or endorse our programmes.
