Ten years of business in two unforgettable weeks
Global Leaders Simulation is an immersive two-week business simulation for students aged 12–16. Working in Houses, students launch a venture and guide it through ten simulated years of growth, competition, setbacks and recovery. Every decision affects two live measures of success: Capital and Trust.
The story develops every day. Students pitch for investment, negotiate agreements, respond to breaking news, face a press conference and make difficult strategic choices. Earlier decisions shape later opportunities, so each House must adapt while building a record it can defend at the final Decade Summit.
- Launch and develop a business venture across a ten-year simulation
- Build leadership, negotiation, crisis response and confident communication skills
- Use English throughout pitches, strategy meetings, negotiations and live challenges
What you'll study
The skills behind every successful venture
Morning workshops prepare students for the next stage of the simulation. They explore how leaders read a situation, persuade an audience, negotiate under pressure, respond to a crisis and rebuild trust. Students then apply those ideas immediately as their ventures enter another year of the Decade Challenge.
-
Module 01
Leadership & Business Strategy
Students establish a purpose, brand and direction for their venture before making decisions about growth, investment and reputation. They learn to identify priorities, assess incomplete information and balance immediate results with longer-term consequences.
-
Module 02
Persuasion & Negotiation
Students develop the English and communication techniques needed to pitch, question, challenge, compromise and reach agreement. They test those skills in investor meetings, competitive presentations and multi-stakeholder negotiations.
-
Module 03
Crisis, Reputation & Recovery
Students examine how organisations respond when plans go wrong. They prepare for hostile questions, manage breaking news, make ethical decisions and create practical recovery strategies that rebuild both momentum and public trust.
The signature experience
Ten years. Two weeks. Every decision counts.
At the beginning of Global Leaders Simulation, students form Houses and launch their own business ventures. Each House starts building two measures of success: Capital and Trust. Across the simulated decade, students take on rotating roles and decide how their venture will grow, communicate and respond when circumstances change.
New event cards, funding rounds, confidence votes, negotiations and crises interrupt even the best-laid plans. Choices have consequences: a decision that increases Capital may damage Trust, while a strong reputation may unlock opportunities later. The final challenge is to defend the venture’s complete ten-year record under cross-examination.
- One continuous ten-year business story connecting the entire academic programme
- Live scores, unexpected developments and earlier choices that shape what happens next
Is this programme for you?
Does this sound like you?
Students arrive with different interests and personalities, but many recognise themselves in at least one of these.
-
You want to build something of your own.
-
You enjoy making decisions under pressure.
You like challenges with no single correct answer and want to test how you respond when plans change, information is incomplete or different interests collide.
-
You learn best by doing.
You would rather pitch, negotiate, debate and solve problems with a team than simply sit and listen. Every workshop prepares you for something you will need to do in the simulation.

Beyond the classroom
The world beyond Eton becomes part of the challenge
Visits to Eton, Windsor and London give students real examples of leadership, reputation, finance and public communication. They observe how organisations and institutions present themselves, then bring those ideas back into the strategy and decisions of their own ventures.
-
Windsor Castle
Explore leadership, legacy and reputation
A visit to Windsor Castle shows how identity, tradition and public reputation are built and maintained over time. Students use their observations when considering the story, values and long-term legacy of their own venture.
-
Westminster
See decision-making at the centre of government
Fieldwork around Westminster gives students a real-world context for stakeholder interests, public accountability and high-stakes communication before they return to the simulation's boardroom and negotiation challenges.
-
London Museums
Ideas that changed the world
London's museums introduce discoveries, technologies and designs that reshaped society. Students consider how innovation creates opportunity, disruption and responsibility for the leaders building the future.
A day in the life
Prepare. Decide. Adapt. Lead.
Each academic day combines focused preparation with a new stage of the Decade Challenge. Students develop a practical skill in the morning, then put it under pressure as their venture enters another simulated year.
