What you’ll learn

Earlscliffe’s English Language programme focuses on four key skills including grammar, comprehension exercises, and interactive language tasks during morning sessions.

Afternoon sessions are project-based and are designed to combine creative mediums including drama, music, film, arts and crafts and even debating for the more advanced learners.

Day trips are linked to classroom language work through historical and cultural preparation and writing reviews of a town or location visited.

Extra Intensive English

If you’re looking to stretch and challenge your English Language ability this Easter, our students have the option to take advantage of our extra learning options.

For an additional weekly cost of £175 students can enjoy an extra 4 hours of English in small group lessons.

For an additional weekly cost of £300 students can enjoy an extra 4 hours of English in a one-to-one setting.

Easter Activities

On-site sports include table tennis, billiards, badminton, basketball, volleyball, and basketball. Karaoke evenings, football, softball, a “Summer of Talent” performance, swimming, themed disco nights, tennis, mini-golf, dry slope tobogganing, “jeux sans frontières,” and quiz nights are just a few of our supervised afternoon and evening activities. Regular beach walks are a well-liked activity during the week.

After the school day’s lessons are over, these sports and activities start to be offered from mid-afternoon.

Earlscliffe is fortunate to be situated nearby Folkestone’s town centre and shops, the Creative Quarter, the beach, and the coastline, all of which provide our children with opportunities for relaxation and discovery.

Given the uncertain weather at this time of year, our Easter programme does offer more travel and indoor activities than in summer.

Day Trips

The weekly excursion to London, which takes only 54 minutes and leaves from the neighbouring Folkestone Central station, is a highlight of the Earlscliffe easter programme.

On Sundays, we may also travel to Leeds Castle and Bluewater, the renowned cathedral city of Canterbury, or enjoy a riverboat cruise. There will be some unstructured time for students in small groups (Juniors are always supervised).
