Friends of SBC

At SBC, we’re always looking to provide truly memorable experiences for our students. We’ve hand-picked some great opportunities for students with our friends of SBC, that run unique summer camps and learning experiences outside of the UK. These camps share our passion for promoting global citizenship and creating memories that last a lifetime. Our dedicated admissions team will be happy to share information about these experiences.

We believe that Global Education = Global Opportunity. Our Language and Culture Immersion Camps are uniquely designed for fast track fluency. Every day at Camp features a new and exciting Canadian theme. Our synergistic lessons, educational activities, games, assignments, and excursions are thematic and learning even outside of the classroom time.
Students enrolled in our immersion programs will make a lifetime of memories, develop lasting friendships and gain speaking confidence wile expanding their linguistic abilities and cultural knowledge of Canada.

What’s Included

20 Hours of Academic Content Per Week

20 hours of immersive language course a week, plus amazing excursions to complement the students’ cultural understanding.

English Language Development

Our immersive language program ensures that our students practice their English in a fun and enduring way, while understanding firsthand the importance of another culture.

Social Programme

At Kingswood Camps, students embark on a journey of social exploration and personal development through a diverse range of engaging activities. From team-building games and sports to communal dining experiences and thrilling excursions, every moment is an opportunity for connection and adventure. As they immerse themselves in a new environment, students have the chance to cultivate independence and critical thinking skills while exploring a foreign country and its culture.

In addition to these enriching experiences, Kingswood Camps hosts themed events such as pajama parties and dance extravaganzas, adding fun and excitement to the program. Birthdays are also celebrated with joy, ensuring that every student feels special during their time away from home. With a vibrant tapestry of social activities, Kingswood Camps creates lasting memories and meaningful friendships, shaping students into confident, well-rounded individuals.

Our approach to your learning

Kingswood Study Group’s two age-based summer language programs have proven to be an invaluable stepping stone in students’ progress in learning English as well as life skills and future careers. Making new friends, taking part in fun adventures, and exploring nature are memories that last a lifetime.

Course objectives

Over the course of this two-week program, you will:

• 4 hours of our Canadian curriculum with “English in Action” style classroom time per day.
• Total language immersion for the entire duration of camp
• International students & Canadian Teachers
• Small student teacher ratios
• Excursions match educational content of workbooks and theme of the day
• Confidence building through leadership andteam building exercises and games.

End Of Course Report and Certificate

By the end of our program, Kingswood holds a graduation ceremony, where students receive their compleition diploma, their report card from the program signed by camp director and teachers.
