Time to Shine Project
Develop your public speaking skills. Share your passion. Inspire your classmates.
Today, giving great presentations are a vital skill for achieving academic and professional success. Our programmes reflect this by having the ‘art of presenting’ at the heart of their content, and allow you to discover new confidence when using English in public situations.
It’s more than just a chance to enhance your public speaking skills, though; it’s an opportunity for you to develop your ability to communicate clearly in English, and share your passion and subject knowledge with your fellow classmates. Through your presentations, you will become sources of inspiration, and encourage others to delve deeper into your subject.
Changing Climate Change: Leadership in Tackling the Global Climate Emergency
SBC Canford’s Introduction to Leadership students will undertake a 10 day teamwork project in which they learn about trends in climate change and the efforts made by event such as the United Nations Climate Change Conference and the Conference of the Parties (COP) to solve climate problems. Students will research the most important areas to tackle in climate change, and prepare keynote speeches to present at Canford’s own climate change summit.
