Learning, Innovation, and Celebration
The atmosphere at the Oxford campus over the past two days has been vibrant and positive. The sunny weather, comfortably warm but not too hot, has greatly contributed to the upbeat mood.Â
Students had the opportunity to attend several insightful guest speaker sessions, which included:Â
Computer Science focusing on the latest trends. Medicine provided a detailed look into modern medical practices and innovations. Business covered essential strategies and entrepreneurial insights. The Law presentation delved into contemporary legal issues whilst the Politics discussions were on current political climates and governance.Â
 The afternoon was packed with hands-on industry experiences:Â
 Medicine Students engaged in a VR session showcasing real-world medical scenarios which provided practical insights and experience. Business students interacted with professionals from Creo Incubators, gaining valuable knowledge about startup ecosystems and innovation processes. Computer Science students held a drone demonstration where students learned about the applications and technologies behind drones. Politics students took A trip to Blenheim Palace which offered a historical perspective on political heritage and leadership whilst Law students took part in a Mock trial.Â
A key highlight from the past two days was the traction show. The catwalks showcased creative outfits, and the addition of judges added an exciting competitive edge. Following the traction show, the second half of the England vs. Netherlands football game was screened for everyone. The atmosphere was electric, with staff and students alike celebrating England’s win.Â
Looking ahead, today marks the final day of the two-week program for our first arrivals at Oxford with a special Time to Shine presentation. This event allows students to showcase the work they have accomplished in their respective subjects. Each student will have the opportunity to present their projects, highlighting their learning and creativity.Â
Following the presentations, a garden party is planned, offering a relaxed and enjoyable setting for students to celebrate their hard work. The day will culminate with an evening graduation ceremony, This ceremony will be a fitting conclusion to the two weeks, celebrating the students’ journey, growth, and the friendships they have formed along the way.Â
The past two days at the Oxford campus have been filled with engaging educational activities, valuable industry experiences, and lively social interactions. Guest speakers and hands-on sessions have provided students with practical knowledge and inspiration, while events like the traction show and football screening have fostered community spirit and enjoyment.Â
