SUMMER BOARDING COURSES
A Bright Beginning at Earlscliffe
With golden sunshine lighting up the coast and the sea breeze keeping things fresh, our summer at Earlscliffe is officially underway. As our first camp of the season, there’s a great sense of energy and anticipation across campus, and it’s been a joy to welcome students from around the world as they begin their summer adventure.
Sunday was all about arrivals, with students checking in throughout the day and settling into their houses. The campus steadily filled with smiles and conversation as new friendships began to form. Once bags were unpacked and everyone had found their feet, the afternoon offered a gentle introduction to life at Earlscliffe through games and relaxed activities. By evening, any nervousness had been replaced by excitement as everyone came together for the welcome party and icebreaker games. It was a brilliant way to bring the group together, and set the tone for the weeks to come – open, friendly, and full of laughter.
The sun has been shining since the moment students arrived, creating the perfect backdrop for our first few days. With blue skies overhead and plenty of time outdoors, the atmosphere on campus has felt bright in every sense. Mealtimes have been full of conversation, and there’s already a natural rhythm beginning to form as students move through their daily routines.
This morning, students began their first full day on campus with lessons, getting into the swing of things quickly. The focus and enthusiasm in class were matched by curiosity and confidence as everyone started to settle into the week ahead. After lunch, the group took their first local trip to explore Folkestone and The Leas. It was a lovely afternoon to stretch our legs, get a feel for the local area, and enjoy the sunshine by the sea.
The rest of the day promises more opportunities to connect and have fun. This evening’s activity, Taskmaster, is set to be a great way for students to work together in small teams and take on playful challenges – with a few surprises likely thrown in along the way. We’re looking forward to seeing how everyone gets stuck in.
With the first day nearly complete, the week ahead is already looking full of highlights. On Wednesday, students will head to London for a day of sightseeing and discovery, including a visit to the British Museum and time to explore Covent Garden. It’s just one of many experiences planned to help students learn, grow, and make lasting memories together.
So far, the mood at Earlscliffe has been warm and welcoming, just like the weather. Students are already forming strong bonds, embracing new routines, and making the most of every moment. It’s been a brilliant start, and there’s so much more still to come.
