Academic Discovery

For students of an Upper Intermediate level of English and above, we offer an alternative to the five mornings of General English language lessons with our Academic Discovery course. This programme recreates the academic experience of being a student in a leading English language boarding school, with a curriculum that includes a broad range of subjects such as those which a student would study during the regular academic year. As such, our Academic Discovery students develop their English language skills through the study of subjects such as English Literature, Creative Writing, History, Geography and Science.

Academic Discovery

Academic Discovery students get to draw on the depth of English language subject knowledge they have achieved each week, to create engaging and thought-provoking presentations. This communicative and collaborative task enables students to utilise a variety of 21st-century skills and culminates with all students presenting in front of their peers. Throughout each course, students will take part in a diverse range of engaging tasks, as well as weekly projects. Example projects include presentations, class competitions, drama pieces, team challenges and creative writing exercises.
